Known as an entrepreneur with a heart of gold, Jacob Risgaard, co-owner of Coolshop.com and CoolGroup, has resumed his DJ career, for a good cause. Jacob spins records to support CoolUnite, his own charity fund dedicated to helping sick children.
Jacob made his return to the DJ scene this summer at Aalborg Karneval, where he shared the stage with Denmark's most succesful DJ 'HEDEGAARD', in front of an audience of 32,000 people. He also appeared on the Line up of "We Love Heroes”, later that summer.
Jacob has big plans to perform at more Danish festivals next summer. He elaborates: "The dream is to bring joy to the audience and at the same time support CoolUnite's work for the children's hospice”.
"I've given many lectures, but nothing beats the feeling of standing in front of thousands of happy, festive people," explains Jacob. His unique DJ style mixes hits from the 1980s and 1990s with modern EDM/house beats.
All proceeds from Jacob's DJ shows will be directed to the CoolUnite fund. Festivals will be given the opportunity to have a say in how the money can be used for a local good cause, as long as it is in line with the fund's purpose, of helping children.
